"The inspiration for this pattern was drawn from the imagery of pomegranates—ancient symbols of fruitfulness, promise and beauty. The motif echoes something old, like it might’ve been block-printed in a 1700s dye house. I chose a warm, muted ochre for the pomegranate and a rich olive for the background to mimic the natural dyes of this era. I wanted it to evoke an American Heirloom feel - slightly rustic, usable but elegant."

I wanted a design that was modern in its abstraction, but grounded—reminiscent of marks made by hand on pottery. This design features a warm, muted mushroom brown ground with aged ivory strokes - hues that reflect an earthy subtleness."
